How do I acheive Certification?
Candidates need to attend the ITIL v3 Foundation course. This 3 day course is available through TTS-UK at venues around the UK. For a full list of available course dates and locations see the course outline on the website.
This course is assignment based, combining short lectures with individual and group assignments and mock examinations in preparation for the multiple choice ISEB examination. Comprehensive course documentation includes student notes, copies of all slides and also a copy of the itSMF IT Service Management pocket guide.
Target Group for Certification
1. Individuals who need a basic understanding of the ITIL framework.
2. Individuals who need an understanding of how ITIL can be used to enhance the quality of IT service management within any organisation.
3. IT professionals and others working in an organisation that has adopted ITIL and who need to be informed about, or contribute, to an ongoing service improvement programme.
ITIL certification, however, is open to anyone with an interest in the subject
Exam Format
The v3 Foundation Examination tests candidates in their ability to understand the basic concepts, describe them and demonstrate basic comprehension of the ITIL practices.
The exam consists of 40 multiple choice questions, where only one option is correct and will be awarded a mark. The pass mark is 26 out of 40 (65%)and the exam duration is one hour.
